Mike Beecham

I first picked up a camera around 8 or 9 years ago, and immediately fell in love with the idea of documenting the landscape and spaces around me. Shooting predominantly in black and white, I try to capture both the essence of a space, but also the indelible marks that we make as we inhabit those spaces. Having grown up in the Midlands for most of my formative years, I now find myself drawn to places of solitude in locations close to my home in Dorset…places where I can escape the noise of modern life, and focus on what it means to take my place within the landscape I love to photograph.
