Although in the past I exhibited widely when a member of the Society of Floral Painters and had work accepted by the Society of Women Artists for exhibition in London I have stepped back from all that and now enjoy my quiet life in Somerset. I feel it adds to the calmness of my paintings…

Working towards a finished painting is to me the best bit. I am occasionally quite sad when the last mark has been made even when I am really happy with the result….

I have a bit of an obsession at the moment with jars and flowers. I love gardening which explains the flowers, but use the jars to explore different shapes and textures. I use a muted palette and concentrate on capturing the mood of the subject rather than the fine detail.

The Ink Pot is a print studio based in the south west in Shepton Montague, Somerset with large format printers. Offering services to artists, photographers and business alike. This site has been created in support of the The Ink Pot's artists which look a getting their work into the public eye and to help generate sales of which the commission generated goes to the Ink Pot Artist Fund
